Sailing and motorboat training
The qualification is internationally recognized, enabling the holder to operate any vessel on inland waters of Europe with a length not exceeding 20 meters and a maximum passenger capacity of up to 12 people.
Sailing and motorboat driving courses
The schedule of the courses is designed to make cadets spend as much time as possible on boats, focusing on practical training while also considering the importance of theoretical learning.
The theoretical training is led online over two weekends (Saturdays, Sundays). The practical sessions are dedicated to small groups where students acquire hands-on skills.
The exam is conducted before an examination board.
Initially, candidates must demonstrate their theoretical knowledge by completing multiple-choice questionnaires. Those who successfully passed can then prove their practical skills. After the successful exam, they can proudly call themselves certified boat skippers.

Any additional fees ocurred during the training are payable to the Transportation Competence Examination Center (KAV).
The course is also available in online format, with the prices for online courses being the same as those for traditional courses.

Summer camps for children
We warmly welcome all children to our sailing school’s organized summer camps, where they can enjoy a pleasant, enriching, and rewarding week at Lake Balaton. During this time, they will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the basics of aquatic life and sailing while creating unforgettable memories
During the camp, children will learn the basic wind directions, how to rig and de-rig sailing boats, and how to launch them into the water. They will also become familiar with fundamental maneuvers and learn how to right a capsized boat, all while prioritizing safety at all times.
For this reason, wearing a LIFE JACKET is MANDATORY throughout the camp!
In the sailing camps, one sailing instructor and, depending on the number of participants, assistant instructors will supervise and guide the young captains.

Maneuver training
Would you like to sail calm with your family and friends?
For members of the Fenyves Yacht Club, there is an opportunity to participate in maneuver training sessions
aimed at practicing harbor and open water maneuvers.

Croatian C category maritime skipper course
Twice a year, in spring and autumn, we organize a maritime C category, or international oceanic maritime skipper course (in Hungarian and English) in Split.
Theoretical training includes: Navigation, COLREG (Collision Regulations), nautical charts, ship technical characteristics, engineering, environmental protection, maritime law, ship handling skills (theory and practice), VHF radio operation, meteorological knowledge, maritime safety, first aid. The theoretical material is taught in Hungarian..
The medical exemination is to be made with Dr Peter Torzsa (budaihajoorvosicentrum.hu, +36707968519) or Dr Imre Melles (hajoorvos.hu) or in Split.
Requirements for participation:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Passport or national ID card
- 1 passport-sized photo (3 cm x 3 cm)
- Participation in a medical examination (part of the course)
Program
Sunday evening: Arrival, check-in
Monday: Morning medical examination, theoretical classes all day
Tuesday: Theoretical classes all day
Wednesday: Theoretical classes in the morning, practical training in the afternoon
Thursday: Review of theory in the morning, exam in the early afternoon

If you don’t have a boat but would like to participate in races; if you have qualifications but want to enhance your knowledge; perhaps you want to compete but lack experience or a race-ready boat, maybe if you simply want to experience the behavior of boats in a racing situation or what it’s like to sail in a team, then join our association!
